We have a fantastic opportunity for a passionate leader to join our multi-award winning creamery in Davidstow as a Health & Safety Manager. SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
  • Leading and being accountable for the delivery of Company Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental strategy at site level by leading the Management Performance Systems as pillar lead for HSE.
  • Working collaboratively with the site leadership team, members of group health & safety and environment teams as well as external agencies, to meet all legal requirements.
  • Being responsible for continual development and improvement for Health and Safety, resulting in improved services and reduced costs.
  • Managing site audits and enforcement authority visits, to ensure successful compliance and close out of corrective actions.
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
  • Able to demonstrate previous health and safety managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to demonstrate lean manufacturing experience and continuous improvement methodologies would be an advantage.
  • Degree qualified or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environment or Safety with NEBOSH qualification.
  • Training and lead auditor qualified for ISO 14001 and/or OHSAS18001 standards.
  • Experienced in managing a team with a track record of developing talent.
  • Able to demonstrate where you have successfully engaged and influenced a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across a business including the Senior Leadership Team.
