Position Overview & Specifications

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Practice Manager within the Family Safeguarding Team to work full time based in Jersey.

The salary for this permanent Practice Manager job is up to £75,874 per annum.

Main duties:

Wherever you work, as a Practice Manager, you’ll guide our Social Work teams through a whole new era, protecting and advocating on behalf of our island.

Working under the direction of the team manager, this role will provide assistance in all aspects of the team’s work including the allocation of work; maintaining, developing and encouraging high professional practice standards; and supporting the supervision and development of staff.

Practice Managers will enable other through high challenge and support to help a team of Social Work qualified staff, ensuring the operational delivery of Children’s Social Care in accordance with Jersey Children’s Law 2002, Children’s Care Procedures and delivers best outcomes for children, young people and families.

They will be responsible, alongside the Team Manager for managing the team and individual performance as well as the professional development of staff.

This will include establishing regular individual and group supervision arrangements and setting and monitoring developmental targets and objectives while balancing this with the development of staff skills and ongoing training and development needs.

Practice Managers will model and use critical reflective skills in management, practice, or organisational supervision settings to enhance best practice.

Support others to maintain professional and personal boundaries and enhance the skilled use of self in more complex situations.

We’re currently recruiting in Fostering, Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Family Safeguarding Service, Children in Care Team and our Complex Needs Team.

Requirements of this Practice Manager job:

A social Work Qualification or equivalent.

Understanding of relevant legislation.

Continual professional development.

Social Work England registered.
