THE ROLE

Looking for an enthusiastic Scrum Master, to work in one with cross-functional development teams to help guide its growth, refine its processes and support the team so it can reach its full potential.

You will believe firmly in continuous improvement and in encouraging greater self-organisation within the team. You will put the needs of the team first and help team members develop and perform to the best of their ability. We believe nothing should be an impediment to you doing your best work and we have structured the company around this principle, in order to give people the autonomy to make decisions, encourage experimentation and think big!

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Experience in playing the Scrum Master role for at least 4 years for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Assessing the agile of the team and coaching the team to higher levels at a pace that is sustainable for the team
  • Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments
  • Building a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
  • Facilitating getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
  • Experience with multiple forms of Agile delivery, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Working with the Product Manager with respect to managing and refining the product backlog
