Position Overview & Specifications

Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance Ltd (PAM) is one of six heavy aircraft maintenance providers for our client Ryanair, carrying out maintenance on Ryanair's entire fleet of New Generation Boeing 737-800 series aircraft, at our Hangar facility located at Prestwick International Airport, Ayrshire, Scotland.

We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Avionic Workshop Mechanic to join a team of highly skilled staff, with an essential part to play in safely maintaining a fleet of over 450 aircraft for one of the world’s largest and most successful airlines.

Reports to: Workshop Supervisor

Location: Glasgow Prestwick International Airport

Duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Carry out avionic component repairs as required and allocated
  • Assist with other zones as and when required
  • Maintain a high standard of work in all tasks
  • Complete the appropriate documentation
  • Comply with all company procedures, policies, regulations and MOE
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Background in engineering/maintenance is essential
  • Experienced and competent using tooling and carrying out technical jobs
  • Willing to work shifts (including nights)
  • Flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment
  • Exhibit a positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent spoken and written English is essential
  • All applicants must have an unrestricted right to work in the UK
