CAD Artist

What's the role about?

As part of our Men and Boyswear Design Department, you'll be joining as our CAD artist. This area consists of digitally rendering all garment accessories for menswear, accessories and boyswear. You will be assisting with the design and development of seasonal logo artworks, embellishments, garment hardware accessories, print and motif developments, suitable to the Reiss men's and boyswear range.

Who you are

• You have a design qualification and 2-4 years of experience
• Strong CAD skills, being highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience of designing boyswear prints
• Experience of designing branding logo's, prints and motif's suitable for clothing and accessories
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• You are creative with refined taste
• Self-motivated and team oriented

What you'll be doing

• Developing a collection of trims, hardware, motifs, logo's and graphic designs for clothing and accessories. Working from initial concept through to realised product. Following our colour palette and concepts per retail/group/product drop.
• Researching into seasonal directions and trends suitable for Reiss aesthetics and apply to branding concepts
• Partnering with trim development companies to realise your CAD design
• Creating and archiving the Reiss branding and trim library
• Delivering concepts to line manager in line with season concept direction, completing research product boards demonstrating innovation awareness
• Presenting Digital renders/sketches and CADS to the line manager for all development
• Creating all relevant detail sketches, CAD designs and colourways for seasonal graphic designs
• Responsible for assisting with the creation of speck packs for trim/logo/hardwear/motif development
• Assisting the design team to create innovative graphic design solutions in relation to clothing teams needs
• Working with the garment technologists and product development on factory placement per style
