Position Overview & Specifications

We are looking for students who want to be placed on the Higher Level Foundation Degree in Cyber Security with Cloud & Networking Infrastructure

As a Level 5 Apprentice at Rapid7 you will:

  • Have access to learning tools to aid your personal development

  • Have defined Learning tracks that are designed to help you become a Subject Matter Expert in the world of Cyber Security, Networking and Cloud Computing

  • Contributions toward certifications through exam vouchers up to $500

  • Build experience working with and supporting our industry standard product suite of security tools in Vulnerability Management, Incident Detection Response, Web Application Security, given you valuable real world experience using our products

In this role, you will:

  • Understand customer’s business objectives and impact using your technical expertise to resolve their issues and ensure customer success and satisfaction

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between Rapid7 and the customer

  • Follow up, test and troubleshoot issues as necessary on internal lab environments and customer hardware

  • Partner with our development teams to investigate and provide root cause analysis

  • Manage customers' issues and keep them informed of progress on investigation

  • Collaborate with various internal departments advocating for your customer to assist them achieve their goals

The skills you’ll bring include:

  • Being an innovative and energetic, inquisitive and a creative thinker

  • Outstanding problem solving and critical thinking skills and be able to demonstrate strong analytical and decision making skills

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role and have a passion for working with customers and achieving positive outcomes

  • Having some knowledge or experience with any of the following:

    • OS Administration (Windows / Linux)

    • General networking troubleshooting

    • SaaS products (AWS, Azure etc)

    • Any relevant previous certification is a plus (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco etc.)

Essential Criteria:

  • Employment onto Rapid7’s Apprenticeship program is dependent on the satisfaction of the entry requirements associated with the HLA Level 5 Cyber Security with Cloud & Network Infrastructure

  • Successful applicants must residing in Northern Ireland and be able to attend in-person lessons at Belfast Metropolitan College.
