Position Overview & Specifications

IT Programme Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Programme Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects for our customers. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for supporting multiple Project Managers, managing resources, and ensuring that all deliverables are completed within the defined scope, budget, and timeline. Your exceptional leadership skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be crucial in driving the success of the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Programme Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define programme objectives, scope, and success criteria. Develop comprehensive programme plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

2. Programme Execution: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to execute programme plans effectively. Monitor and track progress, ensuring adherence to project milestones and deliverables. Address any issues or roadblocks promptly to keep the programme on track.

3. Resource Management: Identify and allocate resources required for programme implementation, including personnel, tools, and budget. Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure appropriate resource availability throughout the programme lifecycle.

4. Stakeholder Communication: Establish effective communication channels to provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding programme status, risks, and mitigation strategies. Facilitate productive meetings and presentations to align stakeholders on programme goals and progress.

5. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop proactive mitigation plans. Regularly assess program risks and implement necessary adjustments to minimize their impact. Escalate critical issues to senior management as required

6. Change Management: Assess the impact of changes within the programme and effectively communicate them to relevant stakeholders. Develop change management strategies to mitigate resistance and ensure smooth programme implementation.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Programme Manager or in a similar role, managing complex projects from initiation to completion.

- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.

- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Experience supporting and mentoring Project Managers.

- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Job Type: Temporary contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £700.00-£950.00 per day
