Position Overview & Specifications
A challenging role for an experienced e-commerce merchandiser!
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist Operations, e-Com and Sales/Product teams with day-to-day tasks
Manage constant stock clearance and inventory control
Work with e-com and sales to ensure size ratios for products are appropriately ordered each season. Ensuring all products on proposed buy sheet is ordered correctly.
Chasing up and ensuring Marketing team receive samples in time to be shot for seasonal and capsule launches
Pro-actively attempting to resolve any issues with suppliers and deliveries
Monitoring web/e-com stock and replenishments, liasing with Warehouse on this
Have a good understanding of target vs current stock levels and review against performance weekly
Analysing different price points for e-com to determine the best price for various items based on trends, colours, styles
Ensuring e-com receive stock in time for specific collection launches
Monitoring inventory issues – e.g. damaged stock and taking appropriate action (e.g. removing stock from web)
Have the ability to make analytical decisions which can help make informative decisions in other departments (e.g. pushing certain products to the top of our web categories if it is selling well for our other partners)
Contribute to department strategy demonstrating an ability to recognise innovative ideas and solutions, which have a commercial gain
Deliver a ‘Digital 1st’ approach across the Group brands.
Analyse stock cover highlighting fast and slow sellers, weeks cover, forward orders, propose potential action if required etc.
Propose initiatives to improve efficiencies and margins.
Work with the E-Commerce Manager and Marketing teams to plan, forecast, place buys and review stock cover and recommend where action is required.
Highlight consumer and trend analysis and recommend actions where required.
Analyse the brands, product category and performance.
Recommend in the areas of product development.
Identify potential Marketplace opportunities in line with brand adjacencies.
Monthly merchandising to ensure stock levels are in line with demand.
Communication with third parties
The scope of the roles and responsibilities may expand or be varied dependent on the needs of the Company’s business to adapt to changing market conditions.
Previous experience working as an e-commerce Merchandiser is required, preferably within the brand environment
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their analytical and numerical skills
Previous experience in stock management is essential
