About the Team

The Resource Management (RM) team is currently undergoing a transformation as part of the wider Business Solutions transformation. The RM Technology Transformation team reports into the RM Transformation lead and is responsible for the discovery, planning and execution of technology enabled solutions which will support the interim and future state of Resource Management. By identifying innovative technology solutions we aim to streamline existing processes, simplify the user experience and deliver a better experience for our RM teams and our people.

We aim to support the delivery of the firmwide strategy and align with the firmwide transformation agenda; bringing together business understanding, human insight and innovative technology to meet the business’ changing needs and expectations. We will support our people through strategic use of people technologies, optimising, enhancing and delivering technology that helps underpin our people and RM teams experience.

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst (BA- Manager grade) to join our team who will help us identify opportunities and plan for technology solutions to support the resource management experience. We are particularly keen to attract people with BA experience and experience or knowledge of the People technology and/or Resourcing landscape (e.g. Talentlink/Workday) would be ideal.

Your role will be to collaborate with key stakeholders to support projects and programmes across the Resourcing transformation landscape, gathering, validating, and documenting various system information and requirements.

You will be responsible for carrying out in-depth evaluation and verification of the system capabilities and act as the intermediary between end-users and software developers/ tech support teams.

You will need to evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions. You will lead ongoing reviews of business processes and develop ideas with the wider team to optimise these. You will be expected to apply practical and creative problem solving and focus on understanding customer/business needs to devise possible solutions and facilitate the implementation of those solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting with stakeholders to understand and review business objectives and project requirements

  • Being the conduit between colleagues in Tech Central and the project teamm

  • Becoming SME in your domain, the RM technology landscape and offering regular insight to identify opportunities for improvement, optimisation and change.

  • Documenting the current ‘As Is’ using process maps and presenting back to stakeholders ‘to be’ and options papers for solutions

  • Considering business requirements against current processes and assisting in the development and / or implementation of requirements

  • Attending regular project meetings

  • Working with project managers to deliver projects and programmes to plan

We have team members currently in Leeds, London and Edinburgh. You will be expected to travel to your base office for some of your time and to other office locations where required. You can be based at any of the PwC office locations in the UK.

Skills and Experience Required

We're looking for candidates who have varying levels of Business Analysis experience that can effectively and efficiently manage the definition, analysis, delivery and maintenance of business, project and system requirements. We are an evolving team and people that can be agile with change and hungry to learn would be desirable.

Essential:

  • Experience of working as a Business Analyst within complex environments

  • Good understanding of Business Analysis frameworks, value cycles, business processes, business requirements and UAT methodologies

  • A Technology enabled mindset

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to integrate well into a team and build effective relationships

  • Ability to critically evaluate information gathered across multiple sources, reconcile variances, and recommend proposals to clients

  • Proven analytical and sceptical mindset with an ability to develop solutions to technical problems

  • Collaborative and able to work across wide people networks and landscapes.
