Warehouse Operative / Driver

PVC Building Supplies is an independent Plumbing & Heating merchant, privately owned and established in 1973. We are looking to recruit a new Goods-In cover driver for our expanding business. We are currently running out of two depots with the review to open depot three & four in 2023. Our busy warehouses never stops running 21 hours a day and we rely on every single employee to roll up their sleeves and get the job done. The role covers varied responsibilities and offers the opportunity to learn about the company products. Driving will include 3.5 Ton Luton Vans when required. For the avoidance of doubt this is not a driving only role and so requires flexibility and ability to undertake other tasks. · Monday to Friday 06:00am to 16:00pm when out driving & 07:00 to 17:00 when working in the warehouse.

Main Duties:

• Manual Handling
• Stock Checks
• Vehicle Daily Checks
• Checking customers’ orders
• Use of Reach counterbalance ( After Training)
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Reliable and on time
• Pick a variety of different plumbing products
• Making sure the vehicles are perfectly loaded and made secure
• Take responsibility for working through your orders independently
• Help with any team tasks, such as cleaning equipment and checking stock
• Adhere to all H&S regulations

What you’ll need:

• Good with working within a team or on your own
• Good attention to detail when working under pressure
• Willingness to work with all different types of stock
• Self-motivation to work hard and do everything to the best of your abilities
• Some experience of working in a fast-paced driven environment

Salary: £26,000.00-£27,225.00 per year
