Position Overview & Specifications

Protocol are working with a further education college group based in the Bromley area in their search for a full time permanent Learning Centre Support Assistant.

The college group are a major provider of SEND and vocational education and training in the South East of London area, and provide a distinctive range of courses for young people and a wide range of professional and employment related qualifications for adults.

Salary is £23,040 -£23,732 pro rata to term time only, 38 weeks per year.

Role responsibilities

  • You will be working in the Learning Centre supporting students and staff in all aspects of the use of the Learning Centres.
  • Provide study skills and information retrieval skills support. Support the development of and deliver study skills sessions (one to one or groups) and research, develop and maintain resources.
  • Contribute to the development of e-learning strategies and resources.
  • Promote the service with students and staff.
  • Identify and respond to curriculum needs.

The person & qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a library environment or familiar with working in a learning support role.
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to effectively motivate and inspire others.
  • Exceptional organisational skills combined with strong digital skills
  • Sound administration skills and preferably has experience of using a Library Management System.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply
