You will deliver input in both the educational and residential settings as part of the waking day curriculum and will be an effective member of the Prior’s Court Multi-Disciplinary team

About Prior's Court

We have since grown to support around 90 young people with autism aged between 5-25 years with the opening of Prior's Court Young Adult Provision in 2011.

Since opening, our support team has grown from around 20 to 500 and we have built a reputation as a leading edge educational, vocational, and residential facility for young people with autism. You will be an effective member of the Prior’s Court Multi-Disciplinary team – working closely with Dance Movement Psychotherapist, Speech and Language Therapists (SaLTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physiotherapy, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), nursing, education, residential, parent/carers and other external agencies to provide a holistic approach to meeting the YP’s needs.

Qualifications

The role is suitable for someone who is an outstanding communicator with experience of working and managing caseload as a qualified Music Therapist. Experience working with young people with autism with be an advantage.

We would also be interested to hear from you, if you have an understanding of use of clinical reasoning skills for both assessment and intervention planning (e.g. either on student placements or previous music therapy role). To be successful in this role, you must hold a professional qualification in Music Therapy (with HCPC registration) and be a registered member of BAMT.

All positions at the school are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, references and receipt of the appropriate Right to Work documents.
