Position Overview & Specifications
Location: Flexible, minimum 60% office based (Coventry).
As an IT administrator you will be responsible for all internal hardware and software used by the company. The role itself will be varied, involving both routine and ad hoc tasks.
Duties may include:
- Setup and maintenance of company IT infrastructure.
- Setup and maintenance of company cloud-based infrastructure.
- Setup and maintenance of company equipment.
- Setup, testing and implementation of internal software and tools.
- Researching and evaluating software solutions and providing recommendations to the leadership team.
- Supporting Information Security compliance initiatives.
- Providing support and assistance to users for hardware and software incidents.
- Providing root cause analysis of solved issues.
- Administration of company systems.
- Website and domain maintenance.
Ideal candidate would be described as:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of databases, data processes, program architectures and data security.
- Skills in designing, implementing, maintaining, documenting and reporting implementations and solutions.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and experience with both hardware and software systems.
- Experience and certifications in the following technologies or products:
- Cloud architecture
- Virtual machines
- Basic networking
- Windows Server Active Directory infrastructure
- Windows OS (10 and higher)
- Office 365
- Able to communicate and influence at all levels executives, managers, and technical experts
- Excellent oral and written communications abilities.
- Self-motivated, ability to work independently.
- Highly organised and able to cope with multiple responsibilities.
- A full UK driving licence with the ability to travel is preferred.
