You will be working for a company that invests in it's employees. Our staff receive regular supervision and appraisal, a full induction and ongoing support and we invest in quality face to face training in PACE and therapeutic methods of care and support as well as our staff understanding a trauma based approach to our practice. We also benefit from a behavioural specialist working alongside us to support our staff in understanding the very best ways to work with our service users and promote their progression in all areas of their lives. We also link into a qualified therapist.
What we can offer you as a Support Worker at Positive Steps Specialist Care Services
Up to £10.65 hourly rate depending on your age
· Full Time, Part Time and Zero hours Positions available
· Shift patterns and Rotas to support your work life balance
· Full enhanced children’s and adults DBS paid for by Positive Steps Specialist Care Services*
· Full Training provided - 2-day paid induction training, online & face to face learning to support your development starting immediately. Continuous Professional Development is key for us and is tied into the ethos of everything we do.
· 3 paid shadowing shifts working with an experienced Support Worker or Team Leader.
· Opportunity to be enrolled onto an NVQ for Children and Young adults.

Your working day can be different from one day to the next. We are looking for people who are flexible, reliable, adaptable & able to read situations to help our Children & young adults make positive choices.
We have 2 adult supported living homes & 1 children's home based in Peterborough.
· Meeting the needs of the Children and Young adults inline with OFSTED & CQC regulations
· Organising and facilitating Social Activities like going to the beach, cinema or a board games.
· Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning shopping etc.)
· Attending & participating in team meetings
Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
· We are looking for people who have life skills, having experience with children or health and social care qualifications would benefit but this NOT essential for us as full training and support will be provided

Requirements for an Enhanced DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
