Position Overview & Specifications

Were looking for an outgoing people-person with experience in HR administration to oversee the training & development of our new starters!

Youll have the opportunity to identify & nurture the skillsets of our rapidly expanding team & help drive their career progression. As the first point of contact for new starters, youll be responsible for showing them what were all about as a company & ensuring that theyre onboarded smoothly.

From group training sessions to HR check-ins, youll play crucial role in supporting our team at every point in their employee journey, working alongside HR, Recruitment and Marketing to make their experience with Portland as fulfilling as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying areas of training needed within the company from refresher to progressive
  • Creating and updating company training documents, such as workbooks, training passports and schedules
  • Managing the full induction process
  • Liaising with senior management to provide new employees with a smooth transition into Portland.
  • Completing regular audits to ensure employee training records are up-to-date
  • Conducting HR check-ins with new starters to monitor employee journey
  • Occasional admin support for HR, Marketing & Recruitment
  • Acting as the first point of contact for new employees during the induction stage

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or a HR environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently; multitask, organise, and prioritise workloads
  • Attention to detail is a must, together with comfort handling a wide range of data (including sensitive and personal information)
  • Confidence is key! This role would require presentation skills and experience of leading group meetings
