Position Overview & Specifications

Role: Cluster Facilities Manager (Distribution Depots)

Location: Role will cover Sites in – Scotland / NI / North East

Salary: £43,268 plus 10% bonus, car or £5,200 car allowance, medical and pension, laptop, mobile and 33 days holiday (including bank holidays).

An outstanding opportunity has arisen within a large and dynamic Facilities Management company, who continue to enjoy sustained growth with its impressive multi-site client base and is looking to appoint a high-profile Cluster Facilities Manager who will assume responsibility for operational and client management across a number of distribution depots in South West region, the role will also be involved in some wider distribution projects.

The Cluster Facilities Manager is responsible to provide an effective cleaning and facilities management service to Asda Distribution centres in the cluster and ensure the Depot GM’s and Line Managers are communicated with on a frequent basis and in an open way. All services are to be delivered through the direct reports and effective control of Managed and Alliance Partners within the depots and must be within budget and in accordance with Health and Safety Guidelines and Asda compliance procedures.

Ideal candidate will be based either Glasgow, Edinburgh or Newcastle, Washington area

  • Lead and manage the performance of the cleaning team and maintenance teams within the cluster and take necessary action to manage performance and disciplinary issues in line with the company procedures.
  • Accountable for the management and control of the Payroll/Paywrite authorisation in line with company procedures
  • Responsible for the completion of one monthly depot payroll audit within cluster and return to Central Operations.
  • Manage Depot Hygiene Managers and Senior Maintenance Technician holidays and absence within the cluster in line with company procedures
  • Ensure that all holiday and absence is managed by DHM’s and SMT for all other colleagues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for recruitment, induction and training of DHM’s, SMT and Technicians in accordance with Company Procedures and Depot cleaning budget
  • Be accountable for the coaching and training of DHM’s, SMT, DMT and DMA’s
  • Coach and develop all direct reports to ensure they have the capability to deliver all operational standards
  • To carry out Disciplinary and Grievance when required in accordance with the company policies and procedures
  • Actively promote “Colleague Voice” principles within the Cluster
  • Develop and actively promote “We’re Listening Survey” actions for each depot.
  • Carry out Appraisal’s inline with the company guidelines working towards development of colleagues and succession planning within the cluster.
  • Have the responsibility of ensuring a high standard of personal hygiene and adherence to laid down dress regulations of the cleaning team at all times
  • Ensure that personnel files are compliant and in line with the company procedures within the cluster.
