Position Overview & Specifications

We are currently looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join our Estate Services Team at Peabody, where you will be assisting with collating data and reporting on compliance checks and audits; by ensuring a clear line of sight on compliance levels across all regions.

Compliance is a key component of ensuring the safety of colleagues and customers when cleaning and gardening is being undertaken, which will include but is not limited to; reporting for completion of non-skilled emergency light and communal fire alarm testing, testing of portable electrical appliances, risk assessments, COSHH, vehicle safety, communal tree safety and accident and incident reporting.

This role is a regional role covering South London, North West London, North East London and our North Counties regions, where flexibility to travel between locations would be required, to include London, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

What we’re looking for:

  • You will possess demonstrable organisational, planning, and administrative skills, with the ability to effectively organise and manage a complex workload and conflicting priorities, meeting set targets and deadlines
  • You will have a positive, can-do attitude with a proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to your work
  • You will be able to communicate effectively across a diverse group of customers and professionals, committed to delivering an excellent experience
  • You should have strong IT skills to include a good understanding of MS Excel
  • Previous experience or knowledge of compliance requirements in the area of gardening and cleaning services would be desirable

A bit about the role:

  • To work with regional teams and the group wide health and safety teams to collate compliance information and provide reports, highlighting consistencies, areas for concern and areas of excellence and good practice
  • To monitor audit actions and ensure there is regular reporting on meeting them across the regions, reporting to the contracts manager estate services on adherence
  • To work with the contracts manager in analysing trends and themes from compliance reporting and data, incorporating this into the training and development of the estate services team
  • To continually look to improve the regional approach to compliance by ensuring adherence to all health and safety, COSHH and relevant regulation, promoting a positive health and safety culture that is in line with all policies and procedures
  • You will manage and monitor the centre of excellence estate services email inbox, responding to queries within the required timescale and liaising with the appropriate teams/departments

A full current driving licence is essential, as you will be required to travel across all regions as per business needs.
