Content Producer

As the Food Content Producer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process, from concept development to final delivery. Your primary focus will be creating visually appealing, concise, and shareable recipe videos that resonate with the TikTok audience while maintaining the high standards expected by BBC Food. Your expertise in the food content sector will play a crucial role in curating and executing creative ideas that capture the attention of viewers.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the creative team to develop compelling concepts and formats for TikTok recipe videos that align with BBC Food's brand and audience.
• Conduct thorough research on current food trends and viral recipes on TikTok to stay up-to-date and identify opportunities for unique content creation.
• Plan and organize the production schedule, including recipe selection, ingredient sourcing, and coordination of filming locations and talent.
• Work closely with a team of videographers, editors, and other production staff to ensure the smooth execution of each video shoot.
• Direct and provide clear instructions to on-screen hosts or chefs during filming to ensure engaging and informative content delivery.
• Oversee the post-production process, working closely with editors to ensure the videos are edited in a timely manner and meet the desired quality standards.
• Continuously monitor audience engagement and feedback, and use data-driven insights to optimize future content strategies.
• Collaborate with the social media team to develop effective promotional strategies for the TikTok recipe series.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in the food content sector and apply them creatively to enhance the series' appeal.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Food Content Producer, ideally with a focus on creating engaging videos for social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram Reels.
• Strong knowledge and passion for food, culinary trends, and recipe development.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for visual storytelling and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with BBC Food's brand and content style.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to embrace new technologies and techniques.
• A portfolio or demo reel showcasing previous work in the food content sector is highly desirable.
