Warehouse & Stores Assistant

Paradigm is an independent, highly regarded manufacturer of satellite communications products, based in Alton, Hampshire. We design and manufacture state of the art satellite terminal products that sell worldwide and are seeking a motivated and dependable individual to fill this new position of Stores Assistant. You should be motivated, committed and have excellent attention to detail, as accurate stock levels and product availability would be under your control in order to fulfil customer orders. With our product range constantly evolving, this is a busy and exciting time for the company requiring an enthusiastic and organised person to manage our components and stock levels.

Key tasks

• Keep storage of stock organised at all times, ensuring it is clearly labelled and identifiable.
• Monitor the level of supplies and raw materials to identify any possible shortages.
• Preparing and applying labels as and when required.
• Record daily ins and outs of the store room to ensure items and quantities are accurate.
• Alert the Purchasing department when stock level is low & new stock needs to be ordered.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production staff to ensure adequate stock is available to enable them to keep building.
• Report to management on stock levels, issues, new ideas etc.
• Assist with Quality Control on incoming Stock and outgoing customer orders.
• Assist with packing and recording serial numbers.
• Record daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory.
• Keep the store and production room organised and tidy at all times.
• Responsibility for picking stock from the store room to fulfil incoming orders and stock builds.

Desired requirements and skills:

• Accurate with good attention to detail.
• Good numeracy skills.
• Effective organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to communicate and work well with staff.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Experience using Dynamics 365 Business Central advantageous, but training will be given.

All of the skills above would be ideal, but any mix will be considered as we are looking for someone long term who can learn the role fully.
