Position Overview & Specifications
Have you been involved with installing, supporting, and maintaining LED video screens and other audio and video equipment?
We are looking for a professional with an electronics or audio-visual background and proven experience working in live events or broadcasting industries.
The successful candidate will be working with the latest audio-visual, media, and network infrastructure on one of the newest and largest LED installations in the world. Previous knowledge, including a high level of technical competence in LED, video, and audiovisuals, plus skills previously acquired whilst working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, are essential to succeed in the role.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Inspect, fault-find, test, maintain, and fix/ solder LED Video tiles and the back-end related hardware while keeping accurate records of all completed work.
- Maintain close communication with the LED and kinetic partners to ensure best practice approach and update test procedures when new faults become apparent.
- Keep track of and maintain a reasonable amount of spare LED & video hardware in stock for repairs.
- Support the technical, creative, and other company teams during the pre-production meetings and the delivery of events or client campaigns.
- Set up equipment according to instructions from other projects/event managers.
- Be onsite as a duty technician throughout events as required.
- Keep work and public areas organised and clear of hazards.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree, vocational qualification, or equivalent in either electrical engineering, systems, broadcast engineering, or electronic engineering.
- Practical experience in Media or Broadcasting technologies.
- Practical experience and knowledge related to LED video equipment.
- A team player, able to work collaboratively will colleagues and clients, but also able to work independently to install, configure and problem-solve LED video and other AV issues.
- Systems support complex AV systems, including LED, kinetic, automation, and audio systems, and front-of-house networks such as Dante and DMX.
- Soldering capabilities to fix LED Tiles/Modules and SMD-printed circuit boards when required.
- Capable of soldering fine-pitch integrated circuits, reading, and understanding electronic schematics.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
