Studio Assistant

We’re excited to be working with B&B press on this newly created role in Rotherham.

With this being a new role, it’s fair to say it’s going to be varied … AND what you do most in this new role, may just depend on YOU! If you’re more brilliant at one aspect / department more than another, you may just find yourself spending more time doing that!

One thing is for sure at B&B Press, you need to have an open mindset when it comes to your daily workflow as projects can land same day with a quick turnaround, and these need to be managed whilst making sure that the longer-term projects are still progressed.

You may have a background in data, spreadsheets, design, maybe within a creative setting. Or you may not and may just have an interest in these from a hobby / side hustle!

Full training will be provided, and a typical week will be a mix of:

• Working with the studio team, assisting with design tasks, checking incoming files are the right resolution, checking fonts, images are fit for print etc, supporting with design work
• Working with the web to print team to create proposal, liaise with the client, keep the key project dates on track, build sites, create products, adding products to the portals, editing products on the portals

Some of the key attribute that are essential in this role are:

• Impeccable attention to detail
• Ability to switch focus from one system / task to another
• Ability to visualise new ways of approaching tasks and an open mindset to innovate
• Ability to use (and enjoy using) Excel (formulas would be created for you!)
• Technically minded

If you have experience already using the Adobe Creative Cloud, you’ll be able to pick things up more quickly than if you haven’t. However, we’re open to still chatting with you if not a long as you are adept at picking up new systems quickly and are passionate about learning. Any previous experience with using HTML a little is also a benefit.

As a new role, we’re flexible with the job title (so you'll see this role with different titles advertised) and salary! We've set this at £25,000 per annum, and we’ll discuss with each candidate on a case by case basis on application what our salary range is as for the right experience level, we’re open to ensuring the pay reflects the market rate for those skills!
