Role Overview:
To co-ordinate and support Children’s Social Care in delivering the missing from home strategy. The missing from home co-ordinator will work closely with the Prevention Hub and the Complex Safeguarding team in relation to missing children and young people. This post will provide effective and comprehensive business support to Children’s Social Care services, and to contribute to excellent delivery of the missing from home strategy through the provision of higher-level administration duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Prevention Hub and Complex Safeguarding regarding missing from homes, identifying trends, themes and patterns, contributing to the overarching implementation of the missing from home strategy.
- Co-ordinate the provision of data for others to be used in a wide range of documents, including strategic reports and responses to FOI requests, plus other service data/information requirements.
- To develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of the resources available locally to meet the needs of children and families including relevant support services
- Collating and sharing information to aid in the identification of risk (at an individual level and in relation to preventative work).
Key Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need as a minimum:
- The ability and experience to analyse and interpret data and present it effectively to various audiences to inform decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively advise and support senior officers, with confidence to challenge where appropriate based on evidence.
- Excellent organisational skills will be needed to agree, develop and manage the provision of appropriate business intelligence; ensuring managers have access to appropriate and timely information about their service and Oldham.
