Position Overview & Specifications

Founded over20 years ago by three entrepreneurial women with a passion for beautiful,practical and comfortable homes, OKA is more than a furniture and homewareretailer: it is a love affair with living well.

We inspirepeople to confidently create a home that reflects their personality, a spacewhere nothing should be too precious or perfect to be enjoyed with family andfriends. British-born, today we have 13 stores across the UK and are excitedto have recently opened our third store in the US an established InteriorDesign and Trade business, a mail-order service and a thriving website.

We are currently looking to recruit a full-time Store Manager tosupport our Retail Team, based at our store in Broadway, Worcestershire.

In the quintessentially English village of Broadway, an idyllicGeorgian farmhouse is now home to our OKA Broadway store. This beautifulbuilding provides a stunning backdrop for our three floors of furniture andaccessories. Located just 6 miles from Evesham, our Broadway store iseasily accessible from Worcester, Cheltenham and Stratford-upon-Avon, with freeon-site parking.

Reporting directly to the Area Manager,the Store Manager is responsible for the management and performance of our Broadwaystore.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organising and executing all generaldaily activities and operational requirements of the store
  • Recruiting, developing and managing yourretail staff team, including onboarding, training and learning and development
  • Pro-actively motivating and leadingthe sales team to exceed Sales and Profit & Loss targets
  • Ensuring the team delivers the highestpossible standards of customer service - both face to face and via phone - inthe most efficient and effective manner
  • Role-modellingthe provision of exceptional customer service to OKA customers

  • Experienceand enthusiasm for high-end retail environments
  • Extensiveselling skills and the ability to motivate others

  • Knowledge ofthe furniture/home furnishings market preferred
  • Flexibleapproach to working hours as the sector demands
  • Tenacious,hardworking and reliable
  • Strongleadership, management, and organisational skills
