Position Overview & Specifications

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Manager on an initial 3 month contract, working on a hybrid basis.

Health and Safety Manager
£350 – £400 per day
Peterborough – Hybrid

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Health and Safety Manager and ideally be NEBOSH qualified. You will have previously developed and implemented health and safety policies and procedures, undertaken audits and worked with managers to consider high-level and long-term training needs and skills gaps. Within the role you will support the leadership team by providing effective health and safety management, ensure compliance with the relevant legislation and best practice and support the creation of and implementation of health and safety policies and safety management systems.
Key duties
  • To provide support to managers and the senior management team in relation to serious incidents under the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) and ensure that a suitable and sufficient incident reporting system is available for all employees to report work related incidents.
  • To act as the Responsible Person to ensure that certain serious workplace accidents, injuries, occupational diseases and specified dangerous occurrences are reported to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) within the timeline stated within the regulations.
  • Advise on the strategy in dealing with reporting of work-related injuries, providing advice, co-ordinating the local response, identifying solutions where appropriate and reviewing the outcome.
  • Provide professional leadership to the Health & Safety Team
