Cafe Assistant

This role will involve working in all aspects of our Cheese Loft Cafe - dishwashing, waitressing, kitchen and retail areas.

PURPOSE OF JOB: To work in the Cheese Loft Cafe providing an efficient and friendly counter and table service to café customers, for both café and retail areas. To work in the kitchen preparing and making meals.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
* To ensure that customers are attended to as soon as possible and that no customer is kept waiting.
* To greet the customer in a friendly manner and determine their requirements.
* To take orders from customers requiring coffee and/or food and pass the order to the kitchen for food preparation.
* To work in the kitchen as and when required to make scones, prepare meals and follow recipes.

* To deliver the order to the customer in a pleasant manner, ensuring that all condiments and cutlery are provided.
* To ensure that tables are cleared when food is finished and cleaned as soon as the tables are vacated.
* To assist with cleaning as per the cleaning schedule

EXPERIENCE
Experience customer service and retail would be advantageous, if you have experience in some areas, training will be provided on site so that you can learn the other skills.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 18 per week

Salary: Up to £9.50 per hour
