Job description

Main Objectives of Position

Based in Immingham, Lincolnshire

Reporting administratively to the Managing Director, UK&I and functionally to the CFO Northern Europe. The FD will be responsible for all financial activities, including accounting, tax, treasury, internal and external audit, credit and collection, financial planning and forecasting. Position is based in Immingham,


Key Responsibilities

Provide timely and accurate reporting of all financial data for all business units
Analyse growth opportunities
Manages financial controls and internal reporting. Assists management in achieving increased profitability. Accountable for day-today operations of the finance and accounting departments of the business
Provide and monitor annual operating and capital budgets
Assists branch and area managers in interpretation and analysis of financial data
Advises management on matters such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts
Reports analyses and interprets financial and operating data for management, including but not limited to: cost analysis, profitability analysis, regional performance assessments, contract pricing analysis
Analyses records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realised revenues, administrative commitments, obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses
Implements and monitors compliance with accounting policies
Ensures timely and accurate submission of finance and accounting records to external auditors
Responsible for maximising the efficiency of accounting and finance personnel by providing them with training, motivation and direction including specific goals and objective productivity targets

Be responsible for own Health and safety and promote positive safety culture in others

Education and Experience Requirements

Finance and/or Accounting qualification with at least 8yrs of relevant experience. Background from auditing is desirable
Completed the CA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
General knowledge of taxes
Understands Project Analysis and M&A

Fluent English skills – verbal and written
Excellent people management skills
Experience with financial audits, including J-SOX audits
In depth knowledge of: Microsoft office, Oracle FCCS/PBCS and SAP C11 or SAP S/4 Hana is desirable
Experience in manufacturing environment is desirable
Experience in cross border projects, dealing with different cultures, business acumen
