Woodside Medical Practice
Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Minor Ailments Nurse
Due to an expansion in list size, we have an opportunity for an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Minor Ailments Nurse to join our friendly training practice in the north of Aberdeen City.
We are a forward thinking, 10 partner Practice with just over 13,000 patients, located in a modern, purpose-built NHS building. We are well supported by an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, experienced nursing and management team as well as excellent administration and reception support. We benefit from in house attached staff including - experienced Pharmacists, Link Practitioner, Psychological Therapist, Listening Service and CTAC staff as well as access to the City Visits Service and nearby CTAC Clinics. Continuity of care is important to us and our systems are set up to support this.
You will work alongside the GP team to provide a high level of clinical assessment and care, including the diagnosis and management of acute conditions. You will consult with patients using both telephone and face to face appointments and may have the opportunity to carry out home visits if this is of interest. It is important to us that you enjoy working at Woodside and have the support you need - our team take time to have coffee together in the morning and our duty team are always available to provide advice.
You will have excellent clinical and communication skills and have successfully completed an RCN-accredited qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice or Minor Ailments (or equivalent). An independent prescribing qualification is desirable but not essential.
We are happy to be flexible on hours and working pattern for the right candidate. Salary is dependent on experience.
