Navis Consulting has an exciting opportunity for a Marine Electrician with an eye for detail and a pride in quality craftmanship to join a world class Yacht Building company in Southampton. Our client has built-up a solid reputation within the marine industry and are recognised as one of the leading boat builders in the UK.
We are looking for people who are highly organised, who enjoy taking responsibility and want to make a difference while tackling new challenges to bring these remarkable sailing yachts to life. As you would expect, marine experience is essential but above all we are looking for a meticulous attention to detail, a deep commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively as part of a passionate multi-skilled team. You will have excellent knowledge of AC/DC systems and a relevant electrical qualification is also required.
You will be responsible for installing and testing all electrics, electronics and navigation equipment on yachts to an exceptional standard. The role includes:
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings
- Installing electrical equipment on luxury yachts
- Coordinating your workload with other departments, such as engineering and boat building
- Carrying out general maintenance on equipment, including PAT testing

Experience:
- Marine Electrician: 4 years (preferred)
- Electrician: 6 years (preferred)
