Position Overview & Specifications

We’re looking for a warehouse team leader to help with our fast-paced environment.

We need a hardworking individual who can learn quickly and enjoys a challenge.

There’s a good amount of time where you will be the face of the organisation, and good customer service is essential.

Duties

Reporting to the operations manager:

Lead changes in procedures to drive operational improvements and efficiencies.

Plan delivery schedules, liaising with different departments and customers.

Stock control, managing flow of stock in and out of satellite warehouses.

Work with internal teams to manage warehouse space.

Identify and grow warehouse operatives through training and continuous improvement.

Assist unloading vehicles. Checking stock condition and quantity. Prompt reporting of damaged/incorrect goods.

Sort/Place goods into relevant locations.

Stock checking and inventory control

Accurately pick and sort outward deliveries. Wrap and prepare outward deliveries according to manifest and apply protective material to prevent damage in transit.

Assist in sorting warehouse so space is used the most efficiently.

Meet/Assist floorlayers and load the correct goods onto vehicles.

Meet/Greet customers and inform the relevant sales teams of customers in store.

Assist with minor queries with customers.

Assist customers with collection orders and assist with loading into vehicles.

Deliver goods to site if required.

General site maintenance (housekeeping)

Maintain a tidy and safe work environment

Work according to health and safety regulations and ensure others abide by these rules.

Check future works and ensure materials are ready for picking and loading.

Book deliveries with third party logistics companies, ensuring the most cost-effective service is used, liase with customers to ensure goods are not stored for too long.

Flexible, this organisation is small and requires multiple skills

Good team player

Forklift driving experience desired but not essential

Driving licence

Computer literate, can use office suites and good email manner

Due to the nature of our materials this can be quite a physically demanding job. Due to this, you would need to be confident with manual handling and the health and safety requirements which come with this. You would need to have good mobility and be able to lift without causing injury to yourself or others.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
