Rate: £233pd Umbrella / £178pd PAYE - Inside IR35

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Security Operations Administrator to work for a major mass media and telecommunications company.

Role:
The Security Operations team are predominantly responsible for security user access administration for the network. The team delivers 2 factor authentication administration, firewall auditing processes and core switch administration including high level password management.

The team controls high level access to all the company’s equipment, providing staff with a temporary password and temporary access. e.g. root access, login to HLR, etc.

You will be dealing with internal customers (staff), external customers (3rd party contractors/engineers), your team members and managers.

Responsibilities:
Daily administration of the relevant team workflow support group, for any Incident or Work Orders assigned and ensure resolution within the agreed SLAs. SLAx1 = 94%, SLAx2=98%)
Approval or implementation of Security User Access requests across all core switch components including IMS. This includes the bi-annual user access auditing of elements under our designated areas of responsibility.
Security administration of High Level password processes for Core Switches and designated areas of responsibility
Manage and administer the Man On Site process.
Managing Checkpoint firewall access via the Checkpoint Smart Manager – Adding, removing and renewing access for Engineers access to the Dashboard.
Management of Core Switch emails in the Sec Ops shared mailbox, to the satisfaction of the customer and within the locally agreed SLA
Ensure any business Leavers or audit leavers are removed within SLAs.
Assisting with the Sec Ops Manager and providing Security assistance for new projects across the Business and book associated time to CAPEX. Assist with the management of the IVR system on site calls, ensuring there is adequate cover during working hours.
Any other tasks required by the Security Operations Manager as the team leader.

Management of the Switch Access emails in the Security Ops shared mailbox,.l to the satisfaction of the customer and within the locally agreed SLA.

Key Skills and experience required:
Knowledge of or aptitude for Database administration and PC packages particularly Microsoft Office e.g. Word, Excel
Ability to absorb and understand new technologies quickly without formal training as a precursor, and use a common-sense approach to problem solving.
Be articulate, and have strong communications (both verbal and written) skills with an excellent telephone manner. Explain semi-technical issues to a non-technical audience. English should be your first language due to the complexities of dealing with 3rd parties, and minimising language barrier issues.
Must be confident working under own initiative, whilst being supportive of team aims, objectives and SLA’s.
Be highly flexible and organised, tenacious and resilient and develop the same with fellow team members. Work under periods of high pressure and be self-sufficient and motivated, with the ability to deal with constantly changing and evolving targets and priorities.
Have knowledge of auditing requirements and practices e.g. SOx, PCI, PSN, CAS T, ISO27001

Essential Experience:
You must be extremely organised
Technical knowledge (any type)
Experience working in the Telecoms or IT industry

Desirable experience :
Ideal if you have worked in a similar role before
Some technical ability is ideal though the role itself is not that technical, there will be plenty of support and you will pick up the technical knowledge
