The Role:

This is a full-time role based in our London office and the candidate will need to be able to come into the office 5 days a week. We have an exciting new opening for a illustrator-2d character artist. This person will be responsible for ideating, illustrating and producing artwork (predominantly character art) for licensed and marketing purposes, across our key franchises in the kids animation space.

The role is a great opportunity for someone with an illustration or animation background. The successful candidate must be autonomous and organised, while creative and self-motivated. The candidate must also be proactive, process-driven, able to meet committed deadlines and be great at working collaboratively in an international environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create new illustrations that are 'on-model and on-brand' across all brands, primarily for the licensing & marketing purposes.
• Train in and develop art styles across all new and existing Moonbug brands
• Develop and maintain a good knowledge of current trends in the toddler and pre-school demographic
• Design world-class style guides developed which embody and enhance our IP.
• Provide creative direction, inspiration and feedback to licensing team and in some cases licensees on both 2D application and 3D product submissions.
• Create product pitches and new product design visuals.

Requirements

Desired qualifications and requirements:

• Computer literate including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and MS Office.
• Have a passion and flare for children's illustration.
• Experience of working with product licensing, either with a retailer or IP owner.
• An ability to communicate a clear design brief and basic design ideas using freehand drawing, computer techniques and/or third-party design resources.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively present design ideas to internal/external stakeholders.
• Fluent English.
