Position Overview & Specifications

MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. And we’ve come a long way since. Today we’re a 400 + strong team (we’re thinking of getting matching jackets) who create print and digital products for companies of all sizes – from Google and AirBnB to the guy who makes those amazing prints you found at a craft fair.
Our global HQ is in London, UK, while we also have premises in Dagenham. In the US, you’ll find us in Boston, MA, as well as East Providence, RI and Denver, CO.

We’re making new and exciting things – and we could really do with your help.

The successful candidate will work in conjunction with an existing Senior Data Analyst. The Data Analysts support a Data Engineering team consisting of 4 engineers led by a dedicated TPO, as well as 4 Business Analysts.

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Data Analyst to join MOO’s Business Intelligence team. In this role, you will promote best practices in data provision and analysis as we present data gathered by our engineers to the wider business. You will be part of a highly collaborative Data Engineering team with diverse specialties and broad responsibilities across the business. Together, we will work to make our business more self-aware.

We are looking to backfill a recent leaver. This can be either a hybrid or fully remote role.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical SQL background, and have supported Tableau infrastructure. Prior experience supporting the migration of a data platform from a data warehouse to Snowflake, and experience with tooling such as DBT would be beneficial. You will feel as comfortable working with Business Analysts and understanding and interpreting their data needs as you are working with Data Engineers on creating production ready pipelines and data sources to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Working with our Technical Product Owner to identify and publish data to our users
  • Support the migration of Data from SQL server to Snowflake
  • Design and optimize Data Connections, Data Extracts, Schedules for regularly refreshed dashboard reports on Tableau Server
  • Quality, performance and security of the data held in all our reporting systems
  • Supporting BI via pair programming, SQL walkthroughs and user training
  • Sharing your expertise beyond our team to improve MOO's effectiveness
  • Provide input to Tableau production tuning and administration requirements, and future potential migration from Tableau Server to Tableau Cloud
  • Providing recommendations for continuous improvement

About You

  • Proven knowledge and application of SQL
  • An intensely curious interest in data
  • Experienced in Tableau and other analytical tools
  • Able to understand and interpret the needs of business stakeholders and Business Analysts and translate those needs into data sources
