Position Overview & Specifications
- Facilitates development of the Line 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability. Acts as a departmental point of contact and champion for longer term Systemic problem-solving activity. Create a system to transfer ownership of these activities to Shift managers and teams.
- On the floor coaching of equipment owners: DMS Execution; Loss Elimination and Skill Development/Technical Mastery. Support the development of the departmental shift managers allowing an upskilling and transfer of accountability of day to day reporting back to the Shift manager population. Coach and mentor, the Shift managers to lead their teams and deliver departmental KPIs the right way, aligned to the World Class Supply Chain 2.0 pillars.
- Leads the line DDS (Daily Direction Setting) meetings and provides coaching to Shift Managers and team members in the shift exchange DDS meeting. Owns the DDS Safety & Quality Triggers, CIL DMS & Defect Handling DMS.
- Develops, monitors and embeds systems and processes to optimise efficiency, quality and delivery through the removal of waste in all forms. Manage departmental VOP programme and introduce and develop a system to deliver future VOP plans Owns Planned Stop Execution and has monthly review accountability of Line Master Plans and results.
- Understanding of the how continuous improvement, lean manufacturing or six sigma tools and techniques are implemented and used within a supply chain environment
- Knowledge and understanding of World Class Supply Chain Pillars, principles, tools
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, Legionella, Environmental, HMCE Legislation etc.
- Facilitation. questioning and listening and coaching skills
- Problem solving and prioritisation experience
- Supplier management skills & capability as well as strong planning & organisation skills
- Experience of developing others by providing feedback on performance.
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of change management practices/principles and project management experience.
