Team member - day time hours

Mimi's Bakehouses are a family run chain of cafe's based in Edinburgh. Our motto is 'it’s all about the cake' and while this remains true we also believe 'it’s all about our team'.

We need someone who can deliver outstanding customer service in our busy Cafe and are looking for someone to join the team at Corstorphine.

We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for customer service, has strong communication skills, a friendly attitude towards both colleagues and customers and has a love for Coffee & Cake!

We are currently recruiting for full time and part time positions. Ideally someone who can work 10-40 hours a week.

Social hours generally between 8:30am - 6:30pm, no split shifts.

Responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers as they wait to be served
• Creating a safe, friendly & welcoming environment for all of our customers.
• Using your initiative.
• Always on the lookout for new ideas to improve our customer service.
• Up-selling our daily specials.
• Replenishing stock in the Cafe.
• Taking orders and serving food and drinks to customers.
• Good knowledge of our menu, ready to communicate this to the customers.
• Respectable knowledge of coffee and experience of using a coffee machine
• Making recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Use of our POS system & receiving and processing payments
• Understanding basics around food hygiene and apply it to daily tasks.
• Keeping our beverage service area clean, tidy, and well-stocked.
• Ensuring that the cafe is spotless at all times and cleaned down at the end of the day following our cleaning procedures.
