Michelle Denny Recruitment is working with Eye Tech Engineering who are looking to appoint a skilled CNC Machinist to join their small team based on the Norfolk|Suffolk border in Eye, Suffolk. The salary ranges between £37,700 to £42,000 pa depending on experience (£17.50 - £19.50 per hour).
The Monday to Friday working pattern is days only and totals 41.5 hrs per week, plus a one-hour lunch break – plus you get to have Friday afternoons off too!
As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts and components, for both simple, high volume batch work as well as small quantity, more complex projects.
The duties:
Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications, blueprints, and work orders
Load raw materials into the machine and ensure proper alignment
Program, adjust, and optimize machine settings for each job
Monitor the machining process to ensure quality and accuracy of parts
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure adherence to quality standards
Collaborate with team members to improve machining processes and efficiency
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work area
Person requirements:
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
Proficient in the setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC machines
Familiarity with precision measuring tools and instruments
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Vocational or technical training in CNC machining or related field
Experience with a variety of CNC machines, such as lathes, mills, or routers
Knowledge of CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines
