These online events are designed to provide you with an overview of our Intelligence Officer Development Programme (IODP) and help you understand what it takes to be an intelligence officer at the heart of our organisation.

About you

To protect the UK, we need people with different perspectives and backgrounds. To join the Intelligence Officer Development Programme (IODP), you’ll have (or be expecting) a 2:2 degree or above in any degree discipline or have work experience where you have obtained some of the key skills and qualities required for the role. But no matter your experience so far, you’ll get lots of dedicated support when you join.

Here are some key characteristics we look for in our Intelligence Officers:

• Good teamwork and collaboration skills
• Very organised with a great eye for detail
• Naturally curious and a love of problem solving
• Strategic with the ability to plan for different outcomes
• Analytical and able to make links between different pieces of information
• Honesty and integrity
• A desire to learn and grow

Please note: registration of interest does not constitute a job application, nor will such registration have any bearing upon the recruitment process itself. Any individuals who register their interest and who decide subsequently to apply to the Intelligence Officer Development Programme, will need to complete an application form once the window for applications has opened. The application window for the Intelligence Officer Development Programme will open on 17th April 2023.
