Nursery Assistant

We require a nursery assistant to work across all aspects of the nursery with children 0-5 years. We are looking for someone to support and assist our qualified Nursery Nurses and support them in providing quality care and education to all of the chidren in our care.

No formal qualifications are necessary but a genuine passion for the early years and children is essential. You will be required to hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Safeguarding children, all training can be provided thrpug hour online training scheme. There is also scope for the right candidate to also train towards an early Years Certificate.

You will be required to work in both our baby room or pre-school room as required, you will need to be highly motivated, ready to learn new things, be able to use your initiative and contribute to the running of a very busy children's day nursery.

We are open Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm, 51 weeks of the year. You will be required to work forty one and a half hours per week.

Mendip House Nursery & Pre-school are committed to the safeguarding of children, the successful candidate will required to provide two written references, one from your last employer. You will also be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
