Planning Engineer

McMenon is looking for a Planning Engineer to work in a busy engineering firm that is a globally trusted partner of choice for flow, temperature, process measurement solutions and contract manufacturing services.

Responsibilities

• Read design specifications and technical drawings
• Preparation of project plans for assigned projects throughout project lifecycle ensuring successful integration with client plan.
• Knowledge of machining and fabrication techniques and experience of production engineering (creation of Bills of Material and Routings)
• Work closely with your colleagues in various departments to ensure all required elements are captured and being carried out effectively.
• Attending progress meetings and producing progress reports for various stakeholders.
• Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices. Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success.

Experience and education

• Evidence of strong engineering background, ideally within a safety/regulated environment.
• Minimum of HNC/HND ideally in an Engineering discipline or relevant experience. High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of materials is desirable
• Ability to read & interpret technical drawings, standards and specifications. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
