Job description
Do you love teaching math that inspires love in problem solving in students? We are an after enrichment program the focus on problem solving, and inspiring students to look at math differently. We are looking for passionate math teachers to host weekly math clubs. Our math clubs are going to be about doing fun math games, and going over problems from different math competitons (eg: Math Olympiad, Noetic, AMC, Mathcount etc..).
You will be hosting weekly math club events for students between the ages of 5-10. You will be given a curriculum, and weekly classworks/assignments for students. Don ‘t worry, we are here to help you every step of the way. You will be assigned a person that will help you be part of the family. We don ‘t have many mandatory requirements, but we are looking for a person with decent problem solving ability, classroom managament skills, and soft skills that can make the class fun and engaging.
By being a math instructor with us, you would be helping to change lives by teaching students how to think abstractly, and deeply about novel, interesting math problems.
Must Have
- Part-time availability between the hours of 2 pm to 6 pm.
- Must be able to drive to locations within the same city.
- Drivers License, car and insurance
- Must have classroom management skills
- Must be punctual and responsible
- Must be able to conduct interactive, friendly, and fun classes with 10-20 kids
- The creativity to fully utilize Math curriculum and class materials
- A passion for Math and the willingness to learn complex chess concepts
- Previous work experience with Kindergarten-6th grade students is a plus!
- Vaccinated for Covid
- Experience in combinatorics, graph theory(A plus, but not necessary)

Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour

All teachers are required to bring their own masks, as well as backup masks in case yours should break in class.
