Remote Social Media Internship

Mateko Resort-wear is a sustainable brand that draws inspiration from the anthropology of African travel. Our unique prints and designs tell stories of African cultures, and we use recycled fishing net fabric to promote sustainability. We are committed to social impact outreach and donate a portion of our profits to causes in Africa.

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Remote Social Media Intern. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok. They will be responsible for managing the social media calendar, brainstorming campaign ideas, and analysing analytics to get successful campaigns and results.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage social media calendar and create engaging content for various platforms.
  • Brainstorm and implement social media campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Analyse and report on social media performance to optimize campaigns.
  • Engage with potential customers and audiences on social media platforms.
  • Develop and maintain a strong social media presence for the brand.
  • Organize photo/video shoots, budgets, logistics, and locations.
  • Ensure brand imagery and message is consistent and cohesive across all social media platforms
  • Maintain brand identity and tone of voice in all social media contentREQUIREMENTS :
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to understand and apply current fashion trends in styling brand imagery and content
  • Experience with styling and coordinating photoshoots, models and outfits
  • Creative mindset with the ability to multitask.
  • Knowledge of picture editing software such as Adobe Photoshop or Canva.
  • Familiarity with Google Drive for content creation and sharing.
  • Must be flexible and able to work remotely.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be based in the UK and able to meet with the owner at least once a week when needed.
  • Knowledge of graphics or graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator or InDesign will be helpful
  • Experience in marketing or social media within the fashion industry (not a must).
  • Knowledge of Facebook Business and Advertising, Google Analytics and Google Ad Management, and website builders such as Wix, Squarespace, and Shopify.
  • Knowledge or use of AI platforms is a bonus.Please note that all expenses will be covered.
