Position Overview & Specifications

Job Summary

We are looking to recruit a part time registered veterinary nurse to complete our friendly team here at Malthouse Vets in Narberth, Pembrokeshire. The role is part time, flexible hours ideally 22.5 hours per week. You will assist in theatre, run nurse clinics and complete all relevant paperwork. There is also plenty of scope to make the position your own as well. Here, at Malthouse Vets, we want our employees to love their jobs and enjoy being part of an awesome and enthusiastic team.

We can offer you:- Flexible hours, either full days or part days will be considered. Salary dependent on experience - CPD allowance - No routine OOHs rota but we do ask that you help out in emergency situations if you are available.

We're a young small animal practice, mainly seeing dogs and cats but our exotic client base is growing daily. We are a supportive and welcoming team, we really enjoy our working life together. We're a small team, we have a lovely and loyal client base and our patients don't dread coming through the door either!

Our practice boasts:- A beautiful, large, purpose-built building with lots of natural light.- Separate dog, cat and isolation wards, in-house biochemistry and haematology machines from Abaxis- Spacious theatre suite- An Agfa CR digital x-ray and ultrasound machine, in separate diagnostic imaging room- An awesome visiting physiotherapist- Cat friendly attitude and handling techniques.- Separate cat and dog vet consulting rooms and a spacious nurse consulting rooms.- Great location, with convenient parking for staff and clients.- CPD budget, encouraging everybody in the practice to grow and improve the practice - A very large staff room with large fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and couches.

We arrange and host a pooch parade in Narberth’s annual civic week parade with a very successful Canine Carnival.
