Product Manager

As Product Manager you will be responsible for defining, building, implementing and managing our product portfolio across our target business sectors.

This role takes input from the business, our strategy, the markets and their own experience to create and continually update a product plan to match the growth ambitions of the business.

This role has full end to end responsibility from product selection through to cost recommendations, training of product /sales support, ownership for successful marketing deployments and product life cycle management.

Keys to success will be your ability to communicate with all of the group businesses, understanding capability and gaining support, alongside your own personal in depth knowledge of what’s happening in our markets and what is going to happen next. It is a great opportunity for you to have real ownership and have a big impact on our business.

Reporting to the Managing Director, and managing a direct report (Marketing Assistant) you will be:

· Responsible for developing and deploying a plan for FTTH/FTTX products

· Responsible for developing and deploying a plan for Standard fibre optic distribution products including data centre products

· Responsible for developing and deploying a plan for FTTA, future 5G/6G products

· Responsible for developing and deploying a plan for Industrial products

· Via the group product team and direct management of on-site marketing resource ensures marketing collateral and digital marketing updates are in place to support launches and promotions of products in plan

· Provide training, presales and technical support for new products

· Carry out continual market studies of product, competition and trends to inform and update our product plans

· Making commercial and pricing recommendations

· Supports bids, tenders and large projects with sales team

· Manages lifecycle of products including commercial viability

· Leadership, cultural champion and ambassador for the business role modelling positive behaviour, work ethic and values.

Accountable metrics

· Deployment of product plans on time and to budget

· Sales growth via new products implemented

· Margin extension or protection via cost recommendations and lifecycle management

What you will bring

· Technical knowledge of telecom fibre optic products

· Knowledge of telecom market, operators and suppliers

· Ability to carry out market studies and interpret findings

· Product deployment and development experience and demonstrable success in execution

· Commercial acumen with ability to maximise margin and importance of revenue achievement

· Product marketing experience

· High level multi-tasking skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deployments
