Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit an Installation Operative to work on our Street Lighting contract in Croydon & Lewisham

As a Street Lighting Installation Operative, you will be part of our Street Lighting Team who are responsible for Maintenance and installation of our Street Furniture in the Boroughs of Croydon & Lewisham

As a Street Lighting Installation Operative your duties & responsibilities will be:

• To visually and structurally inspect street lighting units or supply points

• To bulk lamp change and clean units externally and internally

• Act in accordance with all company and legislative Health &Safety requirements.

• Carry out reactive maintenance

• To ensure certificates are logged in a timely manner

• To update inventory information on assets using PDA’s/Tablets

• To log attendance within each unit and To collect CMS information

• To assist the street lighting test electrician as required

• Daily Vehicle checks are undertaken, and the vehicle is kept clean &Tidy

• To ensure members of the public are kept informed of works and dare not put in danger due to works being undertaken

• Undertake standby and call out duties

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

MEWP category 1b

• G39

• First Aid at Work

• NRSWA Unit 2 or equivalent

• Manual Handling

• ECS Test

• Part 1/2 and or Level 2/3 Electrical Qualification desirable

Additional Information:

• An understanding of electrical and design drawings

• Must be flexible in approach to work in all weather and conditions

• Must be flexible in approach to location of work

• Night-time working may also be required

• Streetlighting Knowledge

• IT Literate

• Be able to work within a team or on own initiative
