In this role you will be the go-to expert for the essentials, wellness and gifts & game products, using your knowledge to develop them as requested. All developments will be managed by you, ensuring the sourcing and development is at the best quality and price for our customers. As part of the Product Development team, you will work closely with internal teams as well as external global suppliers to deliver all product newness from idea through to launch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain NPD workflow with the Product Development Manager to achieve category targets.
  • Collaborate with Category Buyers and Managers to identify and address product opportunities and gaps.
  • Build business cases and obtain stakeholder approval for new product ideas.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, provide ongoing management, and negotiate product development costs.
  • Create and maintain product specification documents and critical paths for projects.
  • Ensure timely product setup and support for product launches.
  • Manage design briefs, packaging requirements, and internal project deadlines, ensuring products are fully compliant

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Background in product development with a minimum of 3 years experience working with product, specifically with wet goods
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills plus strong IT skills including experience using database systems
  • Proven negotiation skills
