Are you looking to develop your clinical knowledge and skills in a range of acute settings? If so then we want you! We are a team of around 30 SLTS who are welcoming, friendly and team focused. We want to provide all of our therapists with the ability to think critically challenge the evidence base and provide high standards of person-centred care. This involves commitment, motivation and a strong desire to learn and in turn, we will give you our commitment of CPD, the opportunity to further develop your clinical skills in acquired dysphagia and communication disorders within the field of acute and ENT and to contribute to service development within the team.

There are two full time rotational posts on offer rotating between ENT and acute teams at Northwick Park Hospital. There is the opportunity to further develop skills in dysphagia management, cough reflex testing with robust access to FEES and VFS, goal-setting and key working skills, complex communication management and the chance to be part of a highly skilled MDT.

You will be expected to hold your own caseload providing assessment, diagnosis and management to both acute/ENT teams with support where required. Service development is a large part of our commitment to quality improvement and we actively encourage project work in order to improve our services.

You will also support more junior members of the team and contribute to SLT student placements as well.

We offer peer support and formal supervision as well as cross site departmental in service training, excellent library facilities, a commitment to flexible working policies, support for further postgraduate training and active participation in service development and clinical audit.
