Job description

Lincoln Healthcare Group is an established Home Care provider, supporting clients with both non-complex and clinical needs in their own homes. We aim to support individuals to remain within their own homes supporting them with all aspects of daily tasks & encouraging individuals to remain independent to the best of their ability.

Candidates must be living in the UK at time of application.

6 months minimum UK paid care work experience required for the post

We are recruiting for our 2-person community care calls.

You will be working in teams of 2 travelling by car to a range of clients within a small area in the North of Newcastle upon Tyne. (Gosforth, Fawdon, Coxlodge, Dinnington, Kingston Park, Brunswick etc).

Travel time and excellent rate for fuel allowance paid.

What will you be doing

You will be visiting clients within your zone, supporting them in a person-centred way to complete the following:

  • All aspects of personal care and moving and handling.
  • Using specialised equipment as part of hands-on support.
  • Providing clinical interventions as required
  • Administering and managing all levels of medication as required
  • Supporting meals and drink preparation
  • Assisting activities of daily living while advocating and empowering independence
  • Working in a multi-disciplinary team, ensuing compliance for Health and Safety
  • Ensuring all records are maintained accurately according to policy and procedure
  • Attending all training and office meetings relating to client need
  • To respond positively to changing needs and managing risk effectively
  • To attend regular meetings of the team with the person you support and specifically give and receive support and advice to and from other workers in the team
  • To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required.
  • This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Ex-Offenders Act alongside exemption from the Equality Act.
