Position Overview & Specifications
- Provide assessments and short-term counselling using a brief solution focused model.
- Refer clients to appropriate internal and external resources as required.
- Complete detailed case notes for all clients and submission of files as per clinical policy.
- Meet objectives as defined by Clinical Management
- Undertake E-Learning modules and trainings on a regular basis.
- Use of computer systems, when required, for booking client appointments, retrieving relevant organizational information.
- Must keep up to date on relevant regulatory and legislative developments.
- Participate in monthly one to one with clinical supervisor.
- Participate in weekly team meetings including professional development opportunities, both internal and externally as appropriate.
- Attending regular external supervision, with a qualified clinical supervisor.
- Hold a minimum of a Diploma Level 4 in Counselling or equivalent (which involved completing 100 hours in an organisational placement).
- A minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working with clients.
- Have completed minimum 450 clinical hours.
- Registered membership with a professional association such as BACP or equivalent.
- Previous assessment and short-term counselling experience.
- Experience working in a brief solution focused counselling model together with telephone/video counselling experience.
- Strong risk assessment skills with regards to Child Welfare/Safety concerns, Suicide/Self-Harm, Substance Abuse etc.
- Good clinical judgement and understanding of your responsibilities regarding confidentiality; strong work ethic and professionalism.
- Excellent communication, problem solving, collaboration, cultural competency, interpersonal, self-care, time management and organizational skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams, One Note, SoftPhone etc.).
