The Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) Placement Year programme will provide you with the opportunity to shape and influence your own career path.

Our Placement Year programme will provide you with insights into how our global and high-performing organisation operates in the Financial Services and Insurance industry. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge, skills and insights into the real working world, and will be assigned to a business area that sparks your interest and meets your skills. You will gain experience and exposure to exciting projects across different areas, and will have the chance to explore Underwriting, Claims, Business Development, or some of our many support functions such as Digital Transformation, Data Analytics, Human Resources and Finance.

What you can expect:

During your Placement Year you will experience what working at LSM looks like. You will be joining a team and working on live projects with talented and experienced colleagues with the opportunity to dive right in and take initiative.

Our initial training programme and bespoke development, networking and mentoring opportunities will provide you with the knowledge you need and the exposure to our international locations and global industry leaders.

What you need to succeed:

We are looking for university students in their penultimate year with a 2:1 or equivalent (predicted), who:

• Are creative, innovate, agile and digital-orientated when embracing new ideas to futureproof our business;
• Are open-minded, resilient and relationship-focused individuals that are keen to build sustainable and collaborative networks by putting people first;
• Have passion and are action-orientated with an eye for translating complex data driven analytics to help make robust business decisions;
• Are fluent in English verbally and in writing (an additional language is a plus);
• Have the right to work in the UK.
