Position Overview & Specifications

We’re looking for a Payment Operations Administrator to join us in Bradford on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

Our mission is to deliver simple and efficient processing with a controlled, quality service, so that our customers can deliver for theirs.

The Payment Operations team are responsible for several key areas including end-to-end processing of all financial transactions such as billing, customer payments, accounts payable and receivable, in compliance with supplier accounts, applicable legislation and internal policies.

Based in our Shared Service Centre, known as LGSSC. Acts as a central specialty service supporting the wider Liberty Global group with specialisms in areas of Finance, Accounting, People, Legal & Systems. This central team supports a number of businesses across the Liberty Global footprint including Virgin Media.

What will you be doing?

  • Ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of Payment Operation processes.
  • Working with stakeholders from Sunrise PLC to ensure fast query resolution.
  • Controlling the processing and query work in relation to supplier invoices
  • Investigating missing payments, chasing aged invoices, and ensuring accurate allocation.
  • Reducing aged debt by liaising with the business and customers to resolve disputes.

We tend to look for people with:

Essential:

  • Experience of working within Accounts Payable/Receivable department.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail both verbal and written communication.
  • Experience of processing invoices or data entry.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working with systems such as Oracle and APRO.
  • Self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Flexible and able to pick up new skills quickly.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet targets without compromising on quality.
  • German language speaking skills would be desirable.
