Print Room Operative/signmaker

We are a Sign manufacturing factory based in the heart of Liverpool. We proudly design, manufacture and install a wide range of bespoke Sign products and due to our continued growth, we need to expand our printing department.

We pride ourselves on being able to adapt to our customer’s requirements, often turning around jobs in a couple of days when required. Over the past 30 years we have built up a good portfolio of a repeat Customer base, delivering quality bespoke signs to high specifications.

Job description

This new ‘Print room operative’ vacancy has been created to help with the ongoing demand for high specification Signage in all Business sectors. The candidate will ideally have experience of working in the sign trade and history of working with the relevant materials, machinery and software (see below for specifics)

Key Tasks

• Liaising with other members of staff.
• Creating artwork.
• Managing production of signage (in house and outsourced)
• Ensuring customer deadlines are met.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• To provide a quality service for our customers on time, every time.
• Working on different projects simultaneously.
• Preparing substrates for production; this may include, measuring, cutting and cleaning.

Main Duties

• Working with clients face to face, over email and telephone to ensure that their design and signage needs are met
• Using a variety of software in different projects
• Working with a variety of signage products; from vinyl graphics, UV printing, fascia’s and vehicle graphics
• Assisting with fitting of signage
• Application and removal of graphics on various surfaces

Skills, experience & qualifications

• Experience of using the following machines and software:

o Mimaki

o Roland

o Graphtec

o Illustrator

o Flexisign

• Sign fitting experience desirable but not essential.
• CSCS card desirable but not essential.
• Full UK Driving License.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
